The ST100 is a satellite transmitter providing developers with a low cost, easy to configure, reliable one-way data module. The device uses Globalstar's satellite network to offer near global coverage. When integrating the ST100 into your design there will be no need for multiple country service contracts or roaming fees as the subscription costs will be the same anywhere in the world.

Connections, power and antennas

The ST100 offers a serial connector and Bluetooth capabilities while there are options for battery, solar and line power supply configurations. The module includes an embedded antenna or you can connect an external antenna to suit a varied range of setups.

iOS and Android apps are available for easy configuration of the module.

Although animal tracking was the inspiration behind the ST100 it's small size means it is suitable for many other different applications including asset tracking, sensors, government, remote monitoring, remote workers and first responders.

Certification

Developers will be required to complete the Globalstar online certification form and OTA testing process and obtain applicable regulatory approvals before the device will be certified and a unique part number issued.
