Gran Canaria is an extremely versatile hiking destination.  This guidebook includes many easy walks from beaches to remote villages and through pine forests.  Many of these routes follow Caminos Reales (royal paths) that stretch all across the island.  For more experienced walkers there are also many routes that follow atmospheric ridge paths and mountain paths.
